On Saturday 17 October 2015, Alberto Costa, MP for South Leics, was pleased to take part in the selection process for the new Conservative Candidate for the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Police and Crime Commissioner. Neil Bannister was chosen by the region’s Conservatives. Neil is currently a senior CPS Crown Advocate, a councillor at Harborough District Council as well as Chairman of the South Leics Conservative Association.
On Friday 16 October 2015, South Leics MP, Alberto Costa, attended a meeting at Leicester’s YMCA where he met with Paul Brown, CEO, along with other senior management team members.
On Tuesday 13 October 2015, South Leics MP, Alberto Costa, as member of the Parliament’s Justice Select Committee, questioned the permanent secretary of the Minister of Justice. Among Mr Costa’s questions, he asked about the circumstances leading to the departure of the former Legal Ombudsman.
On Friday 9 October 2015, Alberto Costa MP, was delighted to attend an Alzheimer’s Society Friends Session which took place at the Broughton Astley Conservative Club.
On Friday 2 October 2015, Alberto Costa, MP for South Leics, was pleased to visit JJS Manufacturing, Lutterworth. Mr Costa met with senior management including Graham Smith and was given a tour of the manufacturing facility.
On Friday 25 September 2015, Alberto Costa, local MP for South Leics, was pleased to attend the MacMillan Coffee Morning at the Broughton Astley Conservative Club where he took the opportunity to chat to local residents.
On Thursday 24th September, South Leics MP, Alberto Costa met firstly with Leicestershire Police Federation followed by a separate meeting with Simon Cole, Chief Constable of Leicestershire Police to discuss policing policies and issues.
On Thursday 24th September, South Leics MP, Alberto Costa along with Mark Pawsey MP, met with NFU members and local farmers at Cestersover Farm, Pailton to listen to the concerns of farmers from the region.
