Controlling Migration Fund

The £100 million Controlling Migration Fund, launched in November 2016, has helped local areas and services to cope where pressures emerge due to recent migration. Pressure on services can often be a source of community tension and activities to encourage social cohesion and integration are supported by the Fund.

As of March 2018, £45.2 million has been awarded in funding for 82 local authority areas. Details of funding for individual authorities are available here and here, the first showing grants announced in July 2017 and the second showing grants announced in November 2017.

Measures in the Integrated Communities Strategy include reviewing the Controlling Migration Fund's operations to date, to ensure it is operating effectively.
